university project (cooperation with katarzyna rozmus), valencia, spain 2008

the brief was to create an item using new methods in the wood industry; the item was supposed to contain artistic and practical values; it was decided to create a household item: a rocking chair, using tightly bonded pieces of wood, glued together; the first step was to create metal forms - two “bean shape” frames, on which were placed layers of wood slats, glued together; two of the same shapes were prepared; when the wooden forms took their shape and dried out, they were connected with oblong pieces of wood to create the seat
